FIRE Releases List of Worst Colleges for Free Speech

The Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (The FIRE), an organization aimed at defending individual rights on college campuses, released a list of the 12 worst colleges for free speech in 2012.

President of The FIRE, Greg Lukianoff, said that "these colleges and universities have deeply violated the principles that are supposed to animate higher education." He added that "sunlight is one of the best disinfectants, and the public needs to know which schools to watch out for." 

According to them, the 12 worst offenders of free speech are:

1. University of Cincinnati

2. Syracuse University

3. Widener University

4. Harvard University

5. Yale University
